I own you Plyo!! It's on now & I won't let you beat me again!! Today went really well! I do still need breaks, and I expect to need extra breaks for a while, but I made it through. And today was the first time I did Plyo without feeling like I wanted to cry!! Those damn level 1 drills get me every time, but this time I just tried to get back in when I could, and when I couldn't do any more I just waited & got right into the next exercise. Having a mirror on the back of my door helps because every time I wanted to stop the drills I would see my belly hanging a bit & I would say to myself "if you wanna get rid of that you better keep going". LOL
Tried the recovery drink after my workout, too. Mmm...yummy!! Hoping to see & feel some good results from drinking that. I'm feeling great & I'm looking forward to my run later this afternoon. Going to do a "quick" 5K & see how my legs feel. I should start to feel an improvement with my running, especially hills, so I'm excited to see how I do!!
Still a chance I'll throw in the recovery DVD later, too, to unwind & relax my muscles but we'll see. I'm just happy that I got my workout in & things are looking up!! I'm ready for Springtime!!!!
Update: My run went really well!! My time is still slower from last year, but I haven't been as heavily training so I can't complain. It felt good to get outside again & run & I'm hoping to do more of that as the weeks go on. I registered for the Broad St. Run today so I'm committed to that now as well so I have to start getting my mileage up. As soon as my new Nike iD sneakers get here I'll be ready to go!!!! Hard to tell if my body felt much different running since starting Insanity, but I definitely had Shaun in my head while running. All I kept thinking about was Shaun & potato chips. LOL Gotta keep it loose!! :) And I tried to think of him telling me to push it up the last little hill before leaving the park. I need a Shaun T iPod workout mix!! That would be awesome!!
I am going to skip the recovery DVD because I think I did enough today. I don't want to burn out.
Well, so much for recovery today! Although I did take a nap so that counts as recovery, right?? ;)
