Wow, what a difference a day makes!! Warmer temps & more food in my belly & I was feeling goooood!! It was the perfect day to go for a run (about 60 degrees!!), but I had my daily date with Shaun so I had to stay inside to get Insane. But no complaining here!! I also tried to eat more & I'm hoping that helps make a difference. I didn't make the best choice at lunch today, but I ate & fueled my body so I won't beat myself up. I had a fried chicken wrap with ranch dressing (on a whole wheat wrap). I know I should have gone for the grilled chicken but I really wanted the fried & I ate the whole thing so I had energy & really pushed myself today!! I'm going to IHOP for dinner tonight so this won't be the best day for eating, but I'm going to be good & just eat my 3 pancakes & I'll prob add an egg white veggie omelette so that's not too bad!!
The workout went really well today & I was ready to dig deep!! I think it might have been one of my better workouts to date. I wasn't totally dripping sweat, but my body was damp & my heartrate was up!! I also realized I didn't have to take quite as many breaks!! I tried to continue to focus on my form & really keep my abs in. I like looking in my mirror to see what my core is doing 'cause I want it flat baby!!!! :)
I tried out my new floor mat today, too. It's an interlocking foam mat that's really made for putting under exercise equipment, but I didn't realize that at the time. I still think it can be used as a workout mat. I used it backwards with the bottom facing up 'cause it was a smooth surface, but I found it moved around a lot. When I went to the floor for push-ups at one point the whole mat moved & that freaked me out 'cause I didn't quite have my balance. I don't want to hurt my shoulder again!!!! So next time I'll try it right-side up & see if that's any better. It probably won't slip around as much, but I don't know if the pattern will hurt my hands? We'll see...
I am loving how my flexibility seems to be getting better, too. My hands can go flat to the ground while stretching out my hammies & boy does it feel good!!
Week 4 is on its way & I'm feeling soooo much better than I did yesterday!! I really think the nicer weather will do wonders for my mood. And in turn that means I can put more into my workouts!! Nothing like a little sunshine to brighten your day!!
