I LOOOOVE RECOVERY DAY!!!! It went really well today. Not sure if it's because I'm getting stronger or if I'm appreciating the recovery DVD more. I seemed to get through most of the exercises fully & I don't remember doing that before. The only parts that really got me were the deep quad stretches where he makes you H-O-L-D it for what seems like an eternity!! I even did well with the low plank work! Those damn bent knees leg lift thingies are evil, too, but I did OK. I can't keep my bent leg as low as they do, but I still feel it so it must be working!!
I was going to add cardio abs tonight, but decided to skip it & just do straight recovery. I've been pushing my body really hard lately, and I just want to take it easy so I'm ready to go tomrorow. I didn't make it to the gym to run today so hopefully I will get out of work early enough to give it a try tomorrow instead.
It was nice to do an Insanity Shaun T workout without sweating!! It was tough but felt good! Looking forward to tomorrow! Just hope I start getting some energy back! My emotional state is calming down a bit so that should help! Hoping some changes on the job front will happen for me soon & that could be an exciting time! Until then I will try to not sweat the small stuff & keep working off my aggression with my main man Shaun!! ♥
I feel the same way! I was so proud of how I did on my recovery day today. My problems were exactly the same; the holds and staying on my toe in the plank ... tough!! I still was sweating today regardless of the lack of normal insanity levels lol Felt Great!!
ReplyDeleteAwesome! Yeh, not sure why I didn't really sweat today. I think I usually do during recovery, too. Oh well, I'm more than sure I'll make up for it tomorrow!! LOL
