On to week 2!! I was tired today so I was a little worried about how my workout would go. But just like last week, as soon as Shaun T comes on the DVD player I get a little extra pep in my step!! Today was cardio power & resistance & I'm still learning which DVD has which exercises so I'm surprised each time I press play. I felt like I did better this time than last week. I love the track jumping but the power jumps & globe jumps are NOT my friend. Although, I have to say that I feel like I was stronger on both of those jumps! I really tried to focus on my form so even if I couldn't go quite as fast as they were going, I was trying to get into my own rhythm. I can't wait to see how I do on my fit test next week!!
I still couldn't get through each set without taking a break, but I kept trying to push myself back to start again & not rest too long. I would look at the countdown clock & tell myself I only had a few minutes left & then I would be done for the day!! And I still can't wrap my head around the fact that no matter how hard it feels at the time, I don't want to stop...I don't want to turn it off. I just stop for a sec, compose myself, and then push through.
One other quick note...so I weighed myself this morning and I lost 1.2 pounds since I started last week!! It may have been closer to 2 pounds but when I did my "official" start weight my scale gave me three numbers so I went with the middle one. :) That was also the number that came up with my body fat & water % numbers. Either way it went down a bit so I can't complain. Would have liked to have seen more, but I'm hoping my muscle tone is picking up, too!! Just keep moving forward...
Speaking of muscle tone, I put on my sports bra & shorts today to get ready to workout & the sun shined through the window onto my abs. I'm starting to see some definition in my obliques!!!! I turned & looked again 'cause I couldn't believe it!! Already?? WOOHOO!! I just know this program is going to work!!
I was so tired from a busy weekend & not sleeping great the last few days, but after my "date" with Shaun I'm feeling great!! Since Thursday is my recovery day, I'm going to go to the gym & try a light/easy 3 miles on the treadmill to see how my body reacts to adding some running. I have the Broad St. Run coming up in about 2 months so I need to start training for that as well. I'm feeling great so I'm sure it won't be a problem!!
New Me...here I come!!!!
