OK, let the games begin!! Today was day 2 for Insanity, and that meant it was my first glance into what a typical workout would look like. All I can say is...O-M-G!! What did I sign up for?? This workout kicked my a$$!! Again, just the warm-up is challenging, but this workout pushes you like nothing I've ever tried before. Today was Plyometric Cardio Circuit. Let's just say it's fast-paced, high-intensity, sweaty craziness!!
The one thing I did like about the workout was that there were football & basketball drills worked in the circuit. Being that those are two of my favorite sports, it was fun to do drills related to those sports. The ski jumps were my favorite, or should I say the "easiest" to do. The plank, push-up, run, jump back up, repeat combos were INSANE!! After a while I just couldn't keep up. My body was like "what the hell are you doing to me". LOL
A few times during the workout I actually fell to my knees & almost cried. Why did I want to cry? I just couldn't keep up & it was frustrating. But then I told myself that it's only my first week. I WILL get stronger & it WILL get easier as the days & weeks go by. So I tried to concentrate on doing the best I could and not worry so much in trying to keep up with their pace & speed!! Shaun T is a great motivator & every time he told us to keep going & try to give a few more, that's just what I did.
This is going to take a lot of physical as well as mental toughness. I know what my end results can look like & that's all the motivation I need to keep going! I will press play!! :)
