Moving right along. Today was Plyo...AGAIN!! As if once a week isn't enough!! LOL I like the exercises in & of themselves: ski jumps, basketball drills, football sprints, even the suicide sprints are OK. But put them all together & GEEZ!! I'm really trying to dig deep & find the energy to push as hard as I can. It's been a bit difficult this week. Not sure if my body is still adjusting to the routine or if I'm just too worn out by the time I get home. I can't really work out first thing in the morning because I definitely wouldn't have enough energy to push as hard as I need to. And I don't want to wait later into the evening because then I'd be sick from dinner and I'd just be getting more tired. So I think I'm working out the best time of day for me- usually late afternoon before dinner. I'm sticking with it & will see how things progress in the coming weeks!
I stopped at the store on my way home today to replenish my healthy foods!! I went through the nutrition guide & wrote down the ingredients I needed to make some of the recipes in the booklet. Tonight I am going to make my first seared tuna steak. I tried it at PF Chang's a few weeks ago & really liked it so I thought I'd give it a try. Will let ya know! I also picked up some unsweetened almond milk & 25% less sugar Nesquick. 1 cup of the almond milk with 2 tablespoons of the Nesquick is only 100 calories! And a great post-Insanity drink!! Mmm...
I can't wait to see my hard work paying off. Sometimes I feel discouraged after I finish my workout as if I didn't give my all, but I think I did. I was laying on the floor a few times today because those level 1 drills are KILLER!! I dug deep to do a few extra jumps in & out, up & down, but then my body just wouldn't let me do anymore. Will push harder tomorrow!!
Tomorrow is the day that I am going to try a 3 mile run on the treadmill before I come home to do my Insanity. I picked tomorrow since it's cardio recovery. Not that you really get a recovery day, but that's what he likes to call it! HAHA!! Hope it all goes well! I haven't run since the Frostbite race on February 20th! Hoping to see an improvement in my running!!
Insanity is my new best friend & I am going to see this through to the end! I have committed to keep pressing play & to dig deeper each time!! Just wish the warm-ups weren't so tiring!! :)
