Insanity- Week 9 Day 4

Comin' down the home stretch baby!!  Did Max Interval Sports Training today instead of Core Cardio & Balance.  It's a lot of fun because it doesn't feel like a workout.  Sure, you're moving & your heartrate is getting up, but it's sports moves & you don't keep doing intervals so it's always something different.  My body is soooo tired I found it hard to get through all of the exercises again, but I pushed through the best I could.  My HR monitor said I burned about 560 calories so that's not bad at all!!

Made a yummy results & recovery drink today, too.  I usually just use the two scoops with almond milk &/or water.  Today I used almond milk with a little FF milk & a bit of water.  Then I added a small amount (approx. 1/3) of a banana & a few drops of almond extract.  YUM-O!!!!  Never really knew what to mix with it but that is a very nice combo!!

I can't believe I only have two more workouts & then my last fit test & I will officially be done my first round of Insanity!!  It's been a long road but one well worth it!!  My body still needs more work, but I love how I feel overall.  It such an accomplishment after getting through a workout & knowing that I just did something special.  Not everyone can do this workout, so to do my best is much more than most out there.  I'm going to take about two weeks off & then start up another round.  I'll check what other Beachbody workouts are out by then as well.  I may try Turbo Fire as well, and when it's available you know I'm going to commit myself in The Asylum!!  Gulp...  Haha!!

Time to finish strong!  My body is running on empty but I'm ready to give the last few days my all & rock that last fit test!!!!

Insanity t-shirt...here I come!!!!  :)

Insanity- Week 8 Day 6- ONE MORE WEEK!!

8 weeks down, one to go!!!!  Decided to try max interval sports training as the calendar said I could do instead of core cardio & balance.  It was fun!!  Sure, a lot of hard moves & ones I couldn't really do, but it was a nice change & was fun to try another new workout!  It was a little crazy not having a warm-up, but he starts off fairly slow so you get warmed up.  But what's with all the different jumping jacks?  Man that makes me tired!  LOL

I was excited to try all the new sports moves, especially football & basketball.  But all I really learned was that I'm a really out-of-shape football & basketball player.  HAHA!  That football drill where you hold yourself about 2 inches off the floor & then move across the floor...what the F????  I could barely do it in high plank let alone on the floor.  Well, I was good at laying on the floor but that made it hard to do the moves.  LOL

I was having fun with one of the moves, too, I forget which one but he was saying to stay with Lloyd.  I was talking smack to the TV like "I got you Lloyd.  You got nothing on me Lloyd".  Then about a few reps later I got tired and said "you got me Lloyd".  HAHA!!  I talk a lotta smack!  ;)

And I finally got to see these bronco kicks my Insanity buddy was telling me about.  Ha, they were funny, too!!  I'm looking forward to doing the DVD a lot so I can get better at the moves.  My upper body is still so weak that I was afraid I was gonna fall on my face doing the bronco kicks.  But it was fun trying!  :)

The sprints at the end were challenging but pushed me to really dig deep.  Being a runner I shouldn't get so winded sprinting for a minute, but yeh, I did.  But the way Shaun pushed me made me do all the intervals & I didn't give up!  And I really tried to do high knees as high as I could!!!!

Wow, one more week & I will be done round 1 & can get my t-shirt.  I know I keep saying that, but I'm so excited to get it because...I EARNED IT!!!!  :)

Thank you again Shaun T for everything!!  ♥
